Regional Operational Programme of the European Regional Development Fund Por Marche ERDF 2014/2020 – AXIS 1 – 0S 1 – ACTION 1.1 – INT. 1.1.1
Promotion of research and development in the areas of smart specialisation
The Marche Region has provided for the granting of capital grants to companies for industrial research and experimental development projects aimed at the creation of innovative solutions, applications, products/services and the improvement of production processes in the technological areas identified by the Marche Region in the "Strategy for research and innovation for smart specialization" 1: Home automation, health and well-being, mechatronics and sustainable manufacturing.
The call is in implementation of Priority Axis 1 "Strengthening research, technological development and innovation" of the Marche Regional Operational Programme European Regional Development Fund for the period 2014-2020 (hereinafter POR MARCHE ERDF 2014-2020), approved by the European Commission with Decision C(2015) of 12 February 2015 and subsequent amendments (current text approved with Decision C(2019) 1340 of 12/02/2019).
The intervention is implemented pursuant to Commission Regulation (EU) 651/2014 of 17 June 20142 and in compliance with the EU provisions in force on the subject, as well as the principles of simplification and reduction of the administrative burden on beneficiaries.
The goal is to increase the planning, quality and sustainability of investments in industrial research and experimental development in the areas defined by the smart specialization strategy, in order to enhance the competitiveness and attractiveness of the regional production system.
The partners NAMIRIAL (lead partner expert in integrated management systems, teleassistance, teleconsultation and telemonitoring solutions in the field of telemedicine), 3P ENGINEERING (innovative SME born as an engineering company in the field of IoT-enabled products, 4.0 services and design), BUCCIARELLI LABORATORI (expert company in the field of chemical, microbiological analysis, on pharmaceutical products and medical devices, on food products and on the safety of the environment and places and CASA DI CURA VILLA ANNA (a clinic that offers specialized services and highly qualified diagnostic services) have launched an ambitious project for the research and development of an innovative device for the health and well-being of the person.
The proposed project aims to create an innovative system – based on a single wearable device – capable of detecting a wide range of biomedical parameters of the person whose subsequent processing and analysis can lead, using automatic and predictive techniques, to the definition of the clinical and health status, in a global and systemic framework, of the person under observation.
The aim of the project is to arrive at a system that allows the results to be used subsequently, after an appropriate industrialization phase, for the creation of a commercial product that will become one of the top of the range in the sector of wearable products for the health and well-being of the person. Such tools can contribute to bringing obvious benefits in social and above all economic terms, because they contribute to the support of low-intensity care, which in turn decongests the occupancy of hospital beds, freeing up economic resources for the acute management of the most serious diseases.
The Villa Privata Villa Anna Nursing Home – Joint-Stock Company received the amount of Euro 140,000 as financial support.
